Attendance to our two demonstrations by club members were well attended and the 'Happy Snapper Café' where visitors enjoyed tea, coffee, sausage rolls and cake, was busy all day.

Helmingham Hall

On Sunday 13 October we had a field trip to Helmingham Hall to, hopefully, see and photograph the deer rutting. The weather was kind and it was a lovely morning. Sadly the deer knew it was a Sunday and so were taking it easy. Even so, members were able to get some great shots of these lovely creatures. There were several other photographers there and it was great to chat to them too.
When finished, a short drive to Stonham Barns for a welcome cup of tea/coffee and a rather large scone.

Ian Bundey LRPS

We are proud to announce that another club member has gained the LRPS award. Congratulations to Ian Bundey LRPS.

Ian said:

'I am three years into my photography journey, and wanted to find a way to make sure I was making progress with my images and not stuck taking the same shots.

The panel was a year in the making trying to find the right balance, I would also recommend the 1:2:1 sessions, painfully honest feedback. I tried to match the colours on the outside of the panel, with the ballet dancer the final image added to match the upward looking shot of the Sabrada Familia. I also tried to position the images looking inwards to the main focus of the F1 car.

Also special thank you to Bob Taylor for the coaching'

Ken Warne LRPS

We are proud to announce that another club member has gained the LRPS award. Congratulations to Ken Warn LRPS. A lot of time, skill and effort goes into receiving this award. We asked Ken for a few words.

'I choose these particular images because they showed a diversity of photographic skills, I thought they were interesting and to an extent showed my personality.
But the main reason was because I thought they might succeed'

Club visit to Covehithe

Inspired by a presentation evening with local landscape photographer Ruth Grindrod, it was proposed to have a club visit to Covehithe beach.

Several club members set their alarms for a sunrise meeting on the morning of Saturday 3rd February.

Despite the lack of a notable sunrise, the club members found plenty of photographic opportunities and interest.

This gallery shows a selection of the images produced by those club members.
